Bah what a crunchy bug, can't find it in testing with my hardware and it's probably in mesa. Anyways, the patch seems to work for you and others and is blessed by upstream, I think it's good to merge |

I can test this without the patch with meta 26.1 once it is shipped and see if it is fixed. |

Testing the changes
The PR adds the patch suggested in this issue where the current version of picom causes a black screen with the egl or glx backend: yshui/picom#1511
With this patch the issue was resolved on my system.
