We have a squid web proxy at work. It does not appear to support ws:// so connecting to your own zedrem server is problematic. I have the following workaround for when running zed through Chrome: 1. Configure Chrome to not require a web proxy at all (I use the Bamboo Spear plugin). 2. Close Chrome. 3. Open Chrome, and then open zed configured to talk to a zedrem server on a ws:// computer somewhere on some port. 4. Once connected, change the proxy settings in Bamboo Spear to use the company proxy. 5. Zed continues to be connected, and my browser works with the proxy as usual.
