Logic to disable/suppress the "Create New Note" button in card view when a daily note is already created for the day was a step in the right direction. However, most optimally, if someone is in card view and a daily note has already been created, the button would instead convert to something like "Open X" instead of "Create New X", etc.
(this is what seemed to be the direction we went, but you more so just suggested you needed to work the logic a bit to better accommodate the situation instead of just eliminating the button all together).
