FCEUX 2.6.5 and FCEUX 2.6.6 do not work

The 2.6.5 and 2.6.6 versions of the FCEUX core do not work.
When the core is chosen there is sound but there is no image and all we can see is a flat-grey screen.
Mac OS 15.1.1 and OpenEmu 2.4.1
When the core file is replaced by some older version it works. But as soon as OpenEmu is restarted and it connects to the repository the version is updated to the latest and it doesn't work again.
Were these versions tested? Can they be fixed or at least temporarily removed from the repository, until there's a fix?

Use our Nestopia core plugin for NES games until this is addressed. In the future we won't be providing multiple NES/Famicom core plugins. Only Nestopia.

Hi Clobber! Thanks for your reply.
That's bad news (the plans for the future), as some games do not work with the Nestopia core, but they work with the FCEUX core - at least those two versions mentioned before.
If you could (remove or) block those two versions, would the app update accordingly? OpenEmu seems to be downloading automatically the last version of the core from the repository - is that the case?
If you leave the 2.6.3 as the last one, the core could be used again and those games not running with Nestopia could be played again. If not fixing the cores, maybe this would fix the problem?

Well, I can comprehend that consolidation makes a lot of sense from your side. As a user, though, that would be one less option available for me.
I don't have a list of games. It happens more frequently with new games, usually expanded roms with improvements or translations, and some mappers seem to be working with one emulator and not with the other.
Before, with the two cores available I could switch to FCEUX and open the roms, without any issues, but now there is only audio and a grey screen.

Hi @clobber,

The game that doesn't work for me in Nestopia is Super 42-in-1 [p1][a1]. On the original hardware, when you power the system off and back on again quickly, it alternates between two different menus of games. The FCEU core does this when pressing reset. With the Nestopia core, I can only ever get the first menu, despite numerous attempts, and numerous prayers to the gods.

There's a Super 42-in-1 variant out there that does work in Nestopia Super 42-in-1 [p1][!], because it has a different way to switch between the menus, but it does not have the same 42 games.
